Baldwin Yacht Club |
Thank you for your interest in the Baldwin Yacht Club!
Established in 1948 in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, the Baldwin Yacht Club provides a safe, fun cruising and casual racing experience for active boaters. We have a variety of member moorings for boats not over 50 feet LOA and a full event calendar that includes dozens of ports in the eastern Long Island Sound region, and extending eastward to Nantucket and Cape Cod. We do not maintain a clubhouse facility.
To become a Regular member, just attend 3 on-water events, by boat, over a 24-month period, and secure one primary
and two secondary sponsors (existing members) to propose you for
membership. Do not know anyone at Baldwin, not a problem, we will assign
you a mentor who will introduce you to other members with similar
interests (e.g. boat type, marina, children, hometown, boating interests
etc.).
We have over 100 members from New England and as far as Arizona, the Carolina’s and Florida and each plays an important role event planning and coordination, administration, and management of the club. To ensure everyone gets acquainted quickly, all new members are expected to serve two years on the Social Committee and to port host an event during their first two years of full membership.
