Baldwin Yacht Club

What is the Baldwin Yacht Club?

The Baldwin Yacht Club is a cruising yacht club in Southeastern Connecticut.  The club is very active, holding on-the-water events twice a month during the boating season which include several sailboat races and family activities.  The club was founded in 1948 and named after former Connecticut Governor and US Senator, Raymond E. Baldwin.

Each boating season begins with our Commissioning at the Mystic Seaport over the Memorial Day weekend.  The yachts of BYC converge for a weekend of fun that includes many activities and the annual Dyer racing for all ages and skills. Other events will take the club yachts to
dozens of ports in the Long Island Sound region, and often extends eastward to Nantucket and Cape Cod.
